A discrete choice experiment to elicit general population stated preferences around the determinants of the choice to make clinical negligence claims against the NHS
The overall project aim is to empirically determine the stated preferences of members of the UK general population around different factors that influence the choice to make clinical negligence claims against the NHS.
The project objectives are:
To determine the attributes and wording of different factors that influence the choice to make clinical negligence claims against the NHS.
To elicit and model general population preferences to generate preferences across different factors that influence the choice to make clinical negligence claims against the NHS using a discrete choice experiment (DCE).
To make recommendations, based on the DCE results, around the factors included in the DCE that had the largest and smallest impact on people’s choice to make a clinical negligence claim against the NHS.
