We are a research collaboration between the Universities of York and Sheffield. Established in 2019, this unit is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) (Grant Reference Number PR-PRU-1217-20401).
Our aim
Through high quality research, we aim to provide evidence to help the Department of Health and Social Care, arm’s-length bodies, the NHS and social care to make the best use of scarce resources, to maximise benefits.
Work programme
Our main methodological research themes cover various aspects of cost-effectiveness analysis, policy issues relating to resource allocation and allocative efficiency, and the measurement and valuation of outcomes. The work of EEPRU covers interventions in health services, mental health, adult social care and public health.
